Ok, so this is the 8th card for World Card Making Day 2014! and this one should have been so beautiful! but I made such a mess 😦 and I though I would share it anway – we can all be perfect all the time can we?! I so wish I was Mary Poppins! Well, that was a tangent!
So, the card……
This card was going to be this lovely crisp white floral on vellum, with gold stamped sentiments – which it was, but I’m so impatient! and Stampin’ Up! White Craft Ink takes an age to dry! Like really, stamp and leave it to dry overnight! I so wish I had (yes, I could have re-made the card, but then I’d be lying to you, and that would be bad, so here you go, learn my lessons!)
And so it was taking ages to dry to I blasted it with the Heat Gun, which warped the vellum, and then I thought it was dry! So I stuck it onto my Real Red card base – Up.Side.Down! #FAIL!
So, then I cut the Real Red piece down to the size of the vellum, and of course, the ink wasnt dry quite! Craft ink goes sticky before it dries, so it stuck to my trimmer, and the gold smudged!
It was so pretty, and now its a little bit of a mess! But I still love it!
If you order through me this month you are in with the chance of receiving one of the 12 cards I made for World Card Making Day 2014 (and I will remake this one so it is actually pretty!)
